How to replace the Throttle Position Sensor on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

A repair of the throttle position (TP) sensor requires workers to first detach the fuel injector sight shield followed by disconnecting the tp sensor electrical connector. The two tp sensor screws need removal before the tp sensor can be pulled out. Insert the tp sensor onto the Throttle Body assembly and apply thread-locking compound gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to its screws. Reinstall the fuel injector sight shield once you reconnect the tp sensor electrical connector and properly install its screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque values.
