Rotate the drive plate without pulley contact to measure the pulley-to-drive plate air gap before applying shims to reach a 0.3-0.6 mm (0.012-0.024 in) desired gap. Use the universal spanner wrench (J 37872) to set the clutch drive plate bolt torque at 12 n.m (106 lb in) while holding the compressor clutch plate. Install the new clutch drive plate bolt only on threads with colored adhesive after ensuring it has five threads minimum. Reposition the compressor onto the engine with compressor mounting bolts torqued to 37 lb ft while ensuring correct installation of radiator air deflectors preserves the original a/c and engine cooling performance. Complete the process by placing back the right radiator air deflector with retainers and installing the right front fender liner before lowering the vehicle and installing the engine Drive Belt.
