Start the heater core replacement by dissembling the HVAC module assembly along with the removal of the lower center floor air outlet duct. The procedure starts by removing the upper center floor air outlet duct through unscrewing before drilling out heater core cover heat stakes and then uninstalling the heater core cover screws to remove the heater core cover itself. The heater core requires installation following its replacement with new parts while screwing in the cover screws until they reach a torque of 1.5 N.m (13 lb in). Install the upper center floor air outlet duct with its screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) torque followed by lower center floor air outlet duct installation before putting back the HVAC module assembly.
