How to replace the ignition lock cylinder on 2005 Chevrolet Malibu?

In order to replace the ignition lock cylinder; have the knee bolster removed first. Then turn the ignition switch to the run position and depression of ignition lock cylinder tab to take the ignition lock cylinder with you. In the case of installing a new lock cylinder, code the key and lock cylinder correctly. Finally, put the ignition lock cylinder and reattach the knee booster.
