How to replace the liftgate wiper motor on 2005 Chevrolet Malibu?

Open access to the liftgate Wiper Motor starts by taking off the rear Wiper Arm and removing both the wiper shaft cap and nut. Disassemble the wiper shaft parts by taking out the spacer and seal before lifting the liftgate. Lower down the rear Wiper Motor trim cover to access the components. Disconnect the Wiper Motor wire and the washer hose at the same time. Pull out the Wiper Motor using its bolts and washers after removing them alongside the Wiper Motor. Place the rear Wiper Motor over the liftgate and fasten it using Wiper Motor washers with bolts . Tighten the assembly to 7 n.m (62 lb in). Reconnect the electrical wires to the Wiper Motor plus the washer supply line before placing the Wiper Motor housing back in place. Lower the liftgate and put in the wiper shaft seal pair with spacer before setting the Wiper Motor shaft nut. Tighten this nut to 5 n.m (44 lb in). After putting on the rear Wiper Arm you should place the Wiper Motor shaft cap.
