How to replace the water pump in a 3.4L engine on 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Before starting work on a 3.4l engine Water Pump replace, professionals should empty the coolant reservoir first. They need to disconnect the Drive Belt shield bolt and remove the cover. Unbolt the Water Pump Pulley to remove its parts beginning with the Drive Belt and proceeding to the bolts and pulley respectively. After that step remove all the Water Pump bolts and carefully take out the Water Pump assembly with the gasket. Use clean surfaces to prepare the new Water Pump Gasket before you add it with the Water Pump into position. Append the new Water Pump bolts and tighten them at 10 nm force. Put and fasten the Water Pump Pulley using 25 nm force to its bolts. Put back the Drive Belt and Drive Belt shield components while tightening the Drive Belt shield bolt to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Finally, fill the cooling system.
