How to replace the canister purge valves on 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

To replace evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve, you have to remove the air cleaner outlet resonator. Unplug the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge solenoid valve tube from the valve and purge solenoid electrical connector. After that, loosen the purge solenoid nut, the engine wiring harness bracket from the stud, while ultimately disconnecting the purge solenoid stud and purge solenoid while extracting it from the Intake Manifold. For installation, install the purge solenoid onto the Intake Manifold while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Install the purge solenoid stud and tighten to 12 n.m (106 lb in), then the engine wiring harness bracket to the stud and purge solenoid nut, both to 12 n.m (106 lb in). Finally, connect the purge solenoid electrical connector and the evap canister purge solenoid valve tube at the valve and replace air cleaner outlet resonator.
