To replace the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor, it is advisable to remove the negative Battery Cable and ensure that safety procedures are observed during this step. Lift up the vehicle and remove the Starter. Remove the ckp sensor electrical connector and clean the surrounding area not to allow any debris to enter the engine. Disconnect the ckp sensor retaining fastener, and remove the ckp sensor. To install, reinstall the ckp sensor and fasten it with the retaining fastener, torquing it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the electrical plug from the ckp sensor, reinstall the Starter, lower the vehicle, and reconnect the negative voltage cable. Lastly, complete a ckp system variation learn procedure.
