How to Replace an A/C Hose in the Air Conditioning Evaporator System on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Evacuation of refrigerant must begin before changing the air conditioning Evaporator tube. The technician should remove the Evaporator tube from both the Evaporator and the auxiliary piping. Follow these steps for the Evaporator tube condenser removal: first remove the condenser nut and then eliminate nuts (1, 2) which stabilize the tube to the fender. Secondly you must take off both the washer solvent container and the coolant recovery tank. The orifice tube remover (J 26549-E) must be used for Evaporator tube extraction as well as o-ring seal disposal. Place a new o-ring seal over the Evaporator tube before installing it to the Evaporator and securing the nut at 28 n.m (21 lb ft). Insert the auxiliary Evaporator tube onto auxiliary piping before tightening its connecting nut to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). Then install the Evaporator tube onto the condenser and secure this nut to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). The operating sequence begins with reinstalling the coolant recovery tank and washer solvent container before tightening Evaporator fender nuts (1,2) to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). The last step involves evacuating and recharging the a/c system followed by checking all components' fittings with the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A).
