2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer Fuel Injector Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the fuel injectors on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?
A: During Fuel Injector replacement work first detach the Fuel Rail assembly by maintaining the integrity of electrical connector pin attachment to the Fuel Injector nozzles while keeping the fuel injectors away from any cleaning solution due to their electrical nature. The oil engine may become contaminated by leaking fuel injectors. Remove Fuel Injector retainer clips followed by fuel injectors from the Fuel Rail after disconnecting the Fuel Injector electrical harness connectors from the fuel injectors. The injector retainer clips should be discarded and both injector o-ring seals (3, 5) must be unplugged from each end before disposal. Choose the appropriate Fuel Injector model during replacement because the assembly contains both a part number identification and a four-digit build date code that specifies month , day , year and shift of production. Engine oil lubrication of new injector o-ring seals will be followed by their installation onto the Fuel Injector body at positions 2 and 4. Install a new retainer clip to the injector device and guide the fuel injectors into the Fuel Rail socket through the connector opening while maintaining the outward position. The retainer clip should lock onto the Fuel Rail socket flange. The last step involves reattaching Fuel Injector electric wires to their corresponding parts before reinstalling the Fuel Rail assembly.
