2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the starter motor on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?
A: Begin by disconnecting the battery negative cable followed by the vacuum brake booster hose removal. Start by separating the positive cable from the solenoid and unfastening and removing the s-terminal lead of the solenoid Starter. First remove the Starter motor by checking out the Starter mount bolt and nut (1, 2). Secure the Starter motor in position while using the Starter motor mount bolt and nut . Tighten these pieces to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Use a nut to connect the positive Battery Cable at the Starter solenoid lock and tighten it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Tighten the nut on the s-terminal lead of the solenoid to achieve 2.3 n.m (20 lb in) torque. The vacuum brake booster hose should be reinstalled and battery negative cable connection must be made.
