A Starter motor servicing and repair requires one to disconnect the battery negative cable while following battery disconnect caution. Service the Starter motor by beginning with left tire removal and following up by disconnecting the positive battery lead from the solenoid while working in the left fender area. Start by unfastening the Starter mount bolt along with the nut (1 and 2) then extract the Starter motor from its position. Lots enable the Starter motor installation by placing it into its correct position while tightening the Starter motor mount bolt and nut to 50 n.m (37 lb ft). Fasten the positive battery wire to the Starter solenoid before securing it with a nut while tightening the positive cable nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in).
