How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on Chevrolet Trailblazer?

You need to remove the harness connector and bolt before you can extract the vehicle speed sensor which comes with its O-ring seal . Before inserting the sensor into the transmission case users must apply a thin film of transmission fluid to both the O-ring seal and the vehicle speed sensor . Install the bolt and tighten it to 11 Nm (97 inch lbs.)Following bolt removal and harness connector detachment from the vehicle speed sensor install the wiring harness electrical connector to the speed sensor. Complete the process by filling in new fluid when needed.
