  A: The replacement process for instrument panel electrical center or junction block must start with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Start the replacement by removing the i/p right side endcap cover together with the i/p compartment. The procedure starts by unfastening the 2 forward screws that connect the i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly to the i/p carrier followed by removing the 2 nuts that hold the i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly bracket to the i/p carrier. The i/p electrical center bracket needs to be lowered before moving the junction block into its stowage compartment location. Compression and release of retaining tabs from the shroud/base disconnectes the electrical connector from the i/p wiring harness before walking off the i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly from the connector. Before installing a new i/p wiring harness junction block you must stage the connectors inside the lower i/p accessory wiring junction block assembly base/shroud. Before installation check that each harness connector has locked to retention tabs before inserting the connector to the i/p wiring harness junction block and squeeze it to the base until both outer locking tabs settle into place. Gradually install the remaining connectors and place the i/p harness junction block bracket onto the i/p carrier bracket studs before securing the nuts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Append the two screws at the i/p endcap while tightening them to 2 n.m (18 lb in) followed by installation of i/p compartment then right side i/p end cap cover. The power sliding door re-initialization process needs to be executed after connecting the negative battery terminal.
