2005 Chevrolet Venture Air Suspension Compressor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Air Suspension Compressor on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?
A: The replacement of an Air Suspension Compressor begins with supporting and raising a vehicle. The removal of an Air Suspension Compressor filter requires you to squeeze the clips attached on its sides from the underbody rail. Tilt the compressor into position by removing the compressor bracket bolt and compressor bracket nuts. The compressor should now rest on the bracket hook. First disconnect the air line from the air dryer and then unplug the Air Suspension Compressor electric connection. Twist the Air Suspension Compressor and bracket towards a 90-degree position to free the compressor bracket hook from the vehicle before extracting both components. Start by disconnecting the Air Suspension Compressor dryer followed by the Air Suspension Compressor relay on the bracket and finally the Air Suspension Compressor bolts to remove the Air Suspension Compressor from its bracket placement. Disconnect the Air Suspension Compressor filter hose from its two hookups on the Air Suspension Compressor device. During installation attach the filter hose to the Air Suspension Compressor at two points before installing the Air Suspension Compressor onto the bracket with a 50 nm (37 inch lbs.) torque. Attach the Air Suspension Compressor bolts/screws according to a torque specification of 4 nm (35 inch lbs.) after which secure the Air Suspension Compressor shield with bolts with a torque value of 3 nm (27 inch lbs.). Fasten the Air Suspension Compressor relay to both the bracket and the dryer of the Air Suspension Compressor. Attach the Air Suspension Compressor bracket under the underbody rail so it can dangle from its bracket hook at a 90-degree angle. Attach the Air Suspension Compressor electrical connector while you install the air line to the air dryer and make sure bracket nuts reach 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) torque. After tightening the Air Suspension Compressor bracket bolt up to 50 nm (37 ft.lbs.), attach the Air Suspension Compressor filter to the underbody rail while the vehicle is in its lowered position.
