  A: Begin the replacement of Hood Cable by first opening and supporting the hood before removing the cable from the Hood Latch and its retaining clips. Before cable removal install mechanics wire onto the Hood Cable which will support new cable reinstallation. Before moving forward remove the hood release handle before you draw the Hood Cable and its grommet all the way toward the passenger area. Move the lead wire to install on the new Hood Cable. To install the new Hood Cable insert the lead wire through the cowl to direct the cable into the engine area where the grommet should be fully engaged to the cowl. First install the hood release handle and proceed to connect the Hood Cable to its respective location on the Hood Latch while securing it with retaining clips. After this step you can close the hood.
