How to replace the upper and lower trunk latch on 2005 GMC Safari?

The water deflector and trim panel should be removed in order to disassemble the upper and lower trunk/liftgate latch. Take out the control rods of the remote lock, and take out the upper and bottom latches and rods. To install, place the clips, fit the latches and resemble the parts in the reverse sequence.
