Begin by removing two bolts that fix the rear storage compartment when present while afterward removing the bolts. Start by detaching the striker followed by the spacer then washer before removing the nut plate. Place the nut plate first and add the washer after which positions the spacer and striker during installation. After placing the striker bolts in position tighten them to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). The final step is to put back the right hand body side trim panel.
