How to replace the brake shoes on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500?

Replacement of the brake shoes will require the use of required tools to take the rear brake drum out. Wipe the brake shoes off, loosen them by means of decreasing tension, and disassemble the retractor spring and secondary brake shoe. Install park brake cable and use silicone high temperature grease. Lay components into place and re-fit the drum.
