How to replace the Parking Brake Shoe (w/RPO NYS) on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500?

In order to change the Park Brake Shoe, make sure that the park brake is released and that the vehicle is in position. Take off the tire, release the tension on the park brake cable and take off the park brake cable off the actuator lever. Installation of the new shoe, reconnecting the cable and putting the tire and wheel back.
