How to replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) on the NV 3500 on 2005 GMC Sierra 3500?

To replace the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) in the NV 3500, one should first lift the car off the ground and support it securely. Disconnect the VSS electrical connector and remove the VSS as well as the O-ring seal. Coat a new o-ring seal with a thin film of Synchro-mesh transmission fluid GM P/N 12345349 (Canadian P/N 10953465) or an equivalent before installation. Finally, install the VSS and the O ring seal, making sure that you tighten the VSS to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs). Lastly, reconnect the VSS electrical connector and pull the vehicle down.
