2006 Buick LaCrosse Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear door window regulator on 2006 Buick LaCrosse?
A: You can start the replacement process of the rear door Window Regulator by first removing the rear door trim panel and the rear door water deflector while protecting the paint from any damage. The required opening of the window allows access to both the inside of the door panel and its window guide retainer clips. Guiding the window retainer clip locks inside the door and lifting the window will release it from the retaining clip. Finally secure the window in the highest position by using tape for retention. The electrical connector of the power Window Motor needs disconnecting before the Window Regulator motor bolt is loosened (2, 3, 4). Detach the free motor from the locking slot and extricate the Window Regulator together with motor before you remove the power Window Motor from the regulator system. The power Window Motor mounts onto the Window Regulator after which it gets secured through bolts (2, 3, 4). Place the Window Regulator and motor into the appropriate slots found on the inner door panel before installing and securing bolts of the Window Regulator and motor with 10 n.m torque (89 lb in). Launch the power window operation using the electrical connector after removing the tape from the window then check the proper functioning of the window guide clips. To complete the process replace the rear door water deflector while installing the rear door trim panel.
