Q: How to replace the rear side door window regulator on 2007 Buick LaCrosse?
A: Proceeding with the replacement of the rear side door Window Regulator requires removal of both rear door trim panel along with rear door water deflector but maintain careful paint protection. You should raise the window high enough until you can reach both the inner door panel and window guide retainer clips. Push down on the locking mechanism of the window guide retainer clip and raise the window until it disconnectes from the clip. Use tape to fasten the window in its highest position. Open the power Window Motor electrical connector before unscrewing one bolt which holds it to the Window Regulator motor (2, 3, 4) to free the motor from its slot. Unbolt the door Window Regulator along with its motor before disconnecting the power Window Motor from the regulator system. Install the power Window Motor onto the Window Regulator while applying bolts along positions (2, 3, 4). Set the Window Regulator along with its motor into the designated slots inside the inner door panel before securing the motor bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The electrical connection to the power Window Motor gets reattached after removing tape masking. Operator should lower the window to check that the window guide retainers function properly. After finishing reinstallation begin by attaching the rear door water deflector then follow it up with the rear door trim panel.
