2008 Buick LaCrosse Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the front side door window regulator on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?
A: The initial step to switch the front side door Window Regulator begins with disconnecting the Power Window Switch to avoid express up/down feature injuries. The front door trim panel and front door water deflector should be removed after applying masking tape to the outer trim. To reach the window guide retainer clip you must rise the window high enough after which you should push the clip's locks inside to enable releasing the window. Secure the window at its highest point while disconnecting the power Window Motor connector and taking out the Window Regulator motor bolt together with the nuts numbered two and four that hold the Window Regulator studs. The Window Regulator and motor need to be extracted from the inner door panel access opening before disconnecting the power Window Motor from the Window Regulator. To install the power Window Motor combine it with the Window Regulator then pass them through the access opening until all three securely join with nuts (2, 4) and Window Regulator motor bolts to a torque setting of 10 n.m (89 lb in). The power Window Motor connector can be reattached after which all tape is removed and the window is sealed into position with the stopper. Conclude the window check by verifying correct operation after programming and reinstall the front door water deflector before putting back the front door trim panel.
