    A: Start with Rack and Pinion Boot replacement by properly lifting the vehicle while providing suitable support. Start by taking off the tire and wheel and then dealing with the outer tie rod. First detach the hex jam nut on the inner tie rod and then detach the Tie Rod End clamp from the Rack and Pinion Boot. First loose the Rack and Pinion Boot clamp from the boot housing then disconnect the boot from the steering gear system. Build a new Rack and Pinion Boot connection to the steering gear then use a new Rack and Pinion Boot clamp to complete the installation. To secure the Rack and Pinion Boot clamp use j 22610 keystone clamp plier (J 22610). Wire the Tie Rod End clamp onto the Rack and Pinion Boot while installing the hex jam nut on the inner tie rod assembly and the outer tie rod subsequently. Complete the installation by lowering the vehicle then performing toe alignment adjustments.
