  A: Begin by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before raising and supporting the vehicle as you replace the Starter motor. Begin by removing the transaxle converter cover bolt followed by removing the transaxle converter cover. Begin by unfastening the "s" terminal nut on the Starter solenoid while also removing the engine harness terminal from the Starter and the "bat" terminal nut. Lastly disconnect the Starter cable terminal from the Starter. Begin by unplugging the Starter motor's bolts and removing the Starter motor from its position. After positioning the Starter motor at the appropriate engine location, thread in the Starter motor bolts until their torque reaches 43 n.m (32 lb ft). Connect the Starter cable terminal to the Starter then apply torque to 10 n.m (89 lb in) on the Starter solenoid bat terminal nut. Connect the Starter solenoid "s" terminal nut after the engine harness terminal then tighten both connections to 2.3 n.m (20.5 lb in). The transaxle converter cover needs to be replaced and the transaxle converter cover bolt needs installation. Use a torque applied of 7.5 n.m (66 lb in).
