To remove the defroster actuator, get rid of the I/P carrier, and after that, disconnect the connections of the electrical connector of this defroster. Next, locate and remove the screws that held the defroster actuator then remove the actuator itself. For installation, insert the new defroster actuator and fix it using screws, and tighten the screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in). Then reconnect the electrical connector to the defroster actuator and replace the I/P carrier. Finally, recalibrate the defrost actuator.
