How to replace the EGR valve on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

The replacement process of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve starts with intake manifold cover removal. First disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the EGR Valve then take out the egr pipe bolt and slowly slide back the pipe assembly. The first step requires removal of EGR Valve studs (4, 6) while you extract both the EGR Valve and its gasket. Check the mating surfaces of the EGR Valve Gasket for cleanliness before examination. First install the new EGR Valve Gasket before putting in the EGR Valve followed by tightening the EGR Valve studs (4, 6) to 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Insert the egr pipe into the EGR Valve after which you should install the egr pipe bolt and tighten it until it reaches 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Use the engine harness electrical connector to connect with the EGR Valve before reattaching the intake manifold cover.
