How to replace the hood latch on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

Begin by making two marks on the Hood Latch support bracket using a grease pencil when the hood is open. Do not let the Hood Latch release cable become crimped when you detach its nuts from the Hood Latch support bracket. The Hood Latch release cable receives its disconnect by pressing the hood release cable retainer and the Hood Latch separation from the support bracket. The Hood Latch release cable installation requires attachment to the Hood Latch while matching its position to the markings on the support bracket. Fasten the Hood Latch using nuts which you should tighten to 6 n.m torque (53 lb in). Final adjustments should be made before the hood closure.
