To change the Water Pump (RPO LX9), you should first empty the cooling system and afterward remove the Drive Belt after loosening the pulley bolts. Following that, grab the Water Pump Pulley bolts and pull out the Water Pump Pulley, and then the Water Pump bolts to get the Water Pump off. Throw away the old Water Pump Gasket and clean all the contacting surfaces. You should put a new Water Pump Gasket on the Water Pump before installing the Water Pump itself. Make sure you put in the Water Pump bolts and tighten them until they reach a torque of 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the Water Pump Pulley at this point, then snug the pulley bolts before you put the Drive Belt back on. Tighten the Water Pump Pulley bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.), and then fill the cooling system.
