How to replace the knock sensor on 2006 Buick Terraza?

The vehicle needs to be lifted and securely supported before replacing the knock sensor. Detach the knock sensor wiring harness electrical connector then uninstall the knock sensor from its location. Install the new knock sensor without applying any thread sealant to its threads because the sensor comes with factory-applied coating that could be compromised by extra sealant material. Insert the knock sensor into its position before tightening it to 25 N.m (18 lb ft) following the instructions in Service Precautions for Fasteners. Lower the vehicle while connecting the electrical connector that belongs to the wiring harness for the knock sensor.
