How to Replace a Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2006 Buick Terraza?

Begin the speed sensor replacement by elevating your vehicle while supporting it. Then take off the right front tire along with the wheel. Disconnect the electrical speed sensor connector after removing the speed sensor/vent hose bolt from the Transfer Case. Before you take out the speed sensor it is important to move the pinion housing vent hose along with its mounting bracket so they do not interfere with the speed sensor bolt boss area. The o-ring on the speed sensor can be used again if it remains unharmed but first separate it from the sensor. Reinstall the o-ring to the speed sensor when doing installation while placing the speed sensor onto the Transfer Case. Place the pinion housing vent hose along with its mounting bracket on top of the speed sensor bolt boss before screwing the speed sensor bolt into the Transfer Case at 30 nm (22 ft. Lbs.). Connect the electrical connector to the speed sensor as you reinstall the right front wheel then the tire and finally lower the vehicle down.
