2006 Buick Terraza Steering Knuckle Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the steering knuckle on 2006 Buick Terraza?
A: The process begins with vehicle suspension and correct vehicle support before replacing the Steering Knuckle. Begin by taking away the wheel tires followed by draining the front wheel drive shaft bearing. First disconnect the front lower control arm ball stud and employ the steering linkage and tie rod puller (J 24319-B) to remove the outer Tie Rod End from the Steering Knuckle. Mark the steering strut onto the knuckle before unscrewing the bolts that attach the strut to the knuckle for eventual removal of the knuckle from the vehicle. During installation place the knuckle back onto its proper position on the vehicle then install the bolts that join the strut and knuckle while tightening the bolts to 123 nm (90 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the Steering Knuckle's outer Tie Rod End then connect the lower control arm ball stud to the knuckle before putting in the front wheel drive shaft bearing. Place the tire back on and lower the vehicle before completing the installation.
