  A: Begin by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removal of the Intake Manifold before replacing the Starter motor. The replacement process starts with removing the "bat" terminal nut along with the "s" terminal nut from the Starter. Afterward, you can detach the Starter solenoid cable and Starter motor bolts to extract the Starter motor. Install the Starter motor by placing it in position so the large terminal locator tab enters the Starter solenoid retention slot and tighten the bolts to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). The Starter solenoid cable must be reattached followed by tightening the "s" terminal nut to 4 nm (35 inch lbs.) then the "bat" terminal nut to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Reinstall the Intake Manifold while also connecting the negative Battery Cable.
