How to replace the Electric Cooling Fan Motor on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

Start by removing the cooling fan assembly before disassembling the motor through removal of the Fan Blade retaining nut followed by detaching the entire Fan Blade from its motor shaft location. First uninstall the motor retaining screws before moving the motor out of its shroud. Upon installation place the motor within the shroud after which you must fasten it using cooling Fan Motor retaining screws at 5 nm (44 inch lbs.) torque value. Afterward, place the Fan Blade onto the motor shaft by rotating it until it drops into position followed by installation of the Fan Blade retaining nut at 7 nm (62 inch lbs.). Replace the cooling fan assembly as the final step.
