How to replace the thermostat housing (LC3) on 2006 Cadillac STS?

In order to replace the Thermostat Housing (LC3), drain the cooling system. Next, take off the air cleaner outlet duct, take off the Radiator Hose and heater hose to the Thermostat Housing. Then take out the Thermostat Housing bolts, removing the Thermostat Housing with therapist from the water housing, disposing of the seal ring. Then clean the sealing surfaces of the Thermostat Housing and of the water housing. Mount the Thermostat in the Thermostat Housing and apply a new seal on the Thermostat Housing as shown earlier. Reattach the Thermostat Housing with Thermostat and seal to water housing further making sure to install the Thermostat Housing bolts and tighten them to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Lastly, reconnect the heater hose and Radiator Hose the Thermostat Housing, reinstall the air cleaner outlet duct, and fill up the cooling system.
