The first step to change the front transmission fluid cooler pipe requires bolt removal from the A/C Condenser and subsequent condenser repositioning to reach auxiliary Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) lines. You must detach both toc lines from their points of connection on the toc device in addition to separating the toc line from its retainer clip. First you must remove all bolts between the toc and cooling Fan Shroud then take off the lh front wheel followed by the lh front splash shield retainers and eventually the lh front splash shield. The j 44827 transmission cooler quick connect tool allows users to disconnect the front toc lines from the rear toc lines before removing the front toc lines. The first step for installation involves connecting the front toc lines to the rear toc lines. Put in the lh front splash shield after installing its retainers and finishing by mounting the lh front wheel. Screw in the bolts which connect the toc to the cooling Fan Shroud until they achieve 6.5 nm (58 inch lbs.) torque and then connect the toc line to the toc retainer clip before tightening all toc lines to the toc to 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.). The work ends with the condenser being put into position then reinstalled.
