How to replace the A/C Expansion Valve on 2006 Chevrolet Aveo?

One must disconnect the negative Battery Cable while adhering to the battery disconnect caution before thermal expansion valve replacement. First disconnect the refrigerant and remove the liquid evaporator pipe connector block retaining nut which is located at the cowl before taking out the expansion valve connector block retaining bolts to extract the expansion valve. All expelled o-rings need to be replaced with new ones after cleaning the areas where o-rings will rest from any possible contamination. The new expansion valve needs to be fitted onto the evaporator tubes followed by securing it with retaining bolts which should be tightened to 106 lb in (12 N.m). The procedure requires installing the liquid evaporator pipe connecting block retaining nut at the cowl while tightening it to 15 n.m (11 lb in) with post-installation steps of reconnecting the negative Battery Cable and evacuating and recharging the system.
