To replace the input shaft speed sensor, begin to disconnect the negative batter cable; make sure to do it according to the battery disconnect caution. Next, remove the retaining bolt of the input shaft speed (ISS) sensor and then disconnect the electrical connector before removing the iss sensor from the transaxle. During installation, lubricate the o-ring with isu dexron iii and install a new o-ring at the iss sensor. Mount the iss sensor and retaining bolt into the transaxle case by reaching a final torque setting of 5.4 nm (48 inch lbs) for the retaining bolt. Finally attach iss sensor electrical connector and negative Battery Cable.
