How to replace the hazard warning switch on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

Before replacement of the hazard warning switch you need to first disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate and disconnect the hazard switch electrical connector. To remove the switch from the trim panel users must first open the retaining tabs from behind the plate then pull out the switch. Place the switch on the trim plate by mounting it to the correct key-way positioning. Attach the switch to the trim plate with complete tab seating before reattaching the electrical connector of the hazard switch and reinstalling the I/P accessory trim plate.
