How to replace the wiper motor on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

Begin Gear Replacement by positioning wiper arms to 1/2 wipe position then switch off the ignition. First take off the wiper arms then move to the air inlet grille panel before removing the wiper transmission . Use the Wiper Linkage Separator (part J39232) and tool it to disconnect the transmission link from the wiper motor crank arm ball stud. Remove the wiper motor frame assembly fasteners and extract the wiper motor from the vehicle. Install the wiper motor to the wiper transmission frame assembly and fasten it with bolts before tightening them to 9 N.m (81 lb in). Use Wiper Linkage Installer (J 39529) to put the transmission drive link socket on the wiper motor crank arm ball. Position it on the ball stud. Before fitting the wiper transmission to the plenum you must apply Multi-Purpose Lubricant or equivalent to the socket.
