How to replace the rear Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2006 Chevrolet Corvette?

You must open and prop up the rear lift window panel before working. Use your tool to push out the strut connector while disconnecting the lower rear defogger electrical connector from its socket. Move the retaining clip away from the strut's lower ball socket and pull the strut straight off at its ball stud. Pull out the retaining clip on the top ball socket of the strut before unplugging its electrical connector and removing it from the top ball stud. Start by attaching the defogger lower electrical connector to the strut before placing the rod down into the lower bracket and upper bracket. Complete the task by attaching the defogger upper electrical cable then taking away the lift window panel support and lowering the lift window panel.
