How to replace the Weather Strip on the rear lift window panel on 2006 Chevrolet Corvette?

Begin your work by removing the rear compartment lift window panel then placing it on a clean flat protective surface. Start by removing the weather strip from its placement on the panel and following steps to eliminate any old spring clips. Finish cleaning the panel surface until all pieces of the previous weather strip disappear completely. Secure spring clips to both sides of the lift window panel by directing them toward the upper edge of the auxiliary seal . First apply a continuous thin bead of weather strip sealant inside the forward lip of the lid before continuing with a thin bead of sealant that runs on the lower side toward the corners for 400 mm (16 in). Drape and position the weather strip against the panel surface by facing its curved side upward yet begin installation at both ends which will converge at the center. After aligning the weather strip notch by the end with the lift window panel edge you can insert the weather strip flange into the spring clip which allows full installation of the weather strip until the lift window panel can be reinstalled.
