How to replace the Weather Strip on the rear lift window panel on 2007 Chevrolet Corvette?

The first step to change the rear lift window panel weather strip begins by removing the panel from the car and placing it on a flat protective surface. The first step includes extracting the weather strip from the panel before eliminating old retaining spring clips unless new ones will be used. You need to cleanse the panel surface completely to extract every fragment of the previous weather strip. Install new spring clips to both sides of the lift window panel by placing the clip lower lines directly above the upper seal edge. Place weather strip sealant inside the forward lip of the lid forming a continuous thin bead. Then apply a second thin bead of sealant along the lower lip side that extends to 400 mm (16 in) from the corners. Apply the weather strip onto the panel by placing its curved side facing upwards as you move slowly towards the centerline from both edges. The weather strip's small notched end should be slid onto the lift window panel edge before inserting its flange inside the spring clip. Reinstall the lift window panel after you finish installing the remaining part of weather strip.
