Next disconnect the stabilizer link from the strut assembly. You should remove the strut to knuckle bolts and nuts before disposing of them and withdrawing the entire strut assembly from the vehicle. While installing the strut assembly on the vehicle secure the strut to body bolts at 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Weld new bolts and nuts onto the strut before clamping it to the steering knuckle; maintain a torque level of 180 nm (133 ft. Lbs.).
