How to replace the Dipstick Tube and oil level indicator on 2006 Chevrolet HHR?

Start the replacement process by removing the oil indicator before detaching the clip from the harness which is connected to the tube bracket. Start by removing both the oil level indicator tube bolt followed by removing the oil level indicator tube from its place. When required remove all O-ring seals present on the oil level indicator tube. Start the replacement by positioning and securing the oil level indicator tube with the bolt which needs to be adjusted to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) tightness. At installation time, only add new O-ring seals to the oil level indicator tube if required. You should reinstall the engine harness clip to the oil level indicator tube bracket before installing the oil level indicator.
