After positioning the column at zero the operator needs to push in the tab on the adjuster block side while pushing down on the adjuster block to flatten the internal adjuster spring and free the adjuster teeth then slide the adjuster block beyond maximum reach from the actuator. Complete the locking mechanism by pressing on the tab with your thumb.
