The CMP sensor replacement process starts with disconnecting the electrical connector of the CMP sensor. You need to dismantle the CMP sensor bolt (705) after disconnecting it before removing the CMP sensor (703). Check the CMP sensor O-ring seal (704) for damage while inspecting for cuts. If the seal is intact it remains usable but if not replace it. Clean engine oil should be applied to the O-ring seal before installing it onto the CMP sensor as needed. After installing the CMP sensor (703) into position use the CMP sensor bolt (705) to fasten it while torquing it to 12 N.m (106 lb in). As the last step reconnect the electrical connector of the CMP sensor.
