Start by taking off both the battery cables from their battery terminals then disconnect the positive cable from its wire loom position on the right side frame rail top. Open the hood while lowering the vehicle to unfasten the positive cable nut hooking to the junction box before taking the cable from underhood wire junctions. The process requires a second vehicle raise to pull out the positive battery cable from the vehicle. Begin by installing the positive battery cable to the vehicle before lowering it down. The positive battery cable needs to be bolted safely into the union box wire looms below the hood while using torque to 6 N.m (53 lb in). Roll up the hood while you place the positive battery cable against the wire looms which are located above the right side frame rail.
