The first step to replace a Shock Absorber of an all wheel drive vehicle involves both raising and supporting the vehicle properly. A utility stand will help you compress the coil spring for Shock Absorber tension relief. Disconnect the air tube connector from the Shock Absorber when automatic level control is present in the vehicle. Begin by removing the Shock Absorber upper bolt and nut before taking out the Shock Absorber lower nut and removing the Shock Absorber from the vehicle. To set the new Shock Absorber correctly position it following Shock Absorber upper bolt installation while also tightening the Shock Absorber nuts (2 and 3) at 85 nm (63 ft. Lbs.). When automatic level control exists in the vehicle you must reconnect the air tube connector to the Shock Absorber. Finish the process by taking away the utility stand followed by lowering the vehicle.
